Do I need to bleed my Jaga Linear Plus radiators? They are approximately 4 years old and we have not bled them before. However, we are aware of water 'gurgling' noise which we have not experienced in previous winters. Many thanks, r

Hello Rachel and thank you for your message.

If you are experiencing a gurgling noise from your radiators / heating system then it almost certainly means some air has found its way into the system and you will need to bleed each radiator. If you turn off the heating first and starting from the bottom of the house, moving your way up stairs, bleed each radiator in turn until only water runs out. Take care when doing this as there may still be hot water in the system.

The air vent is located on the top of the heating element and should be a long tube with a red top and a screw inside with a clear plastic pipe attached to it, alternatively, it might be a small brass elbow air vent (depends when you purchased as they all now go out with the extended air vent).

If, after doing this, you still hear a gurgling sound, it might be wise to call out a qualified service engineer to check the system over.

    Regards.

    Justin.
