Have I got the size right?

I need a new bedroom radiator to run off an air source heat pump. The room is 31m^3 and the radiator can only be 0.5m high (0.7m floor to window sill). I think that I need about 2000Watts of output. Will a 11cm deep 1.1m long radiator be large enough?

    Hello Sarah,

    Thank you for your message.

If you have a Strada DBE 500mm x 1100mm x T11 (118mm deep) the output will be 2125 watts, however, this is based on a flow and return of 75/65 - if you are using an air source heat pump you will be more likely using a flow and return of 45/40 so will need to apply a correction factor to this output (0.45 in this case). 2125 watts x 0.45 = 956 watts so you will be coming out at only about half of what you require.

You could go for one of the following to acheive the 2000 watts which you need.

    STRADA.DBE 500mmx 2400mm x T11 = £ 869.30 / 2306 watts (at comfort mode - 45/40/20)
    OR
    STRADA.DBE 500mmx 1600mm x T16 (168mm deep) = £ 731.80 / 2230 watts (at comfort mode - 45/40/20)

Hope this helps, however, if you wish to discuss this in more depth please contact our sales office on 01531 631 533.

    Yours sincerely.

    Justin.
