My two radiators are hot at top but cold at bottom. I've tried bleeding them and all seems fine. I wondered whether it was something to do with the lockshield. Should that be open or closed when the heating is running?

noisy start up
our system goes through a 4-storey house from the basement. When it starts up there is a lot of noise - I think from gas/air in the pipes. Sometimes this triggers a hammer effect in the radiator thermostat valves which then make a loud buzzing noise.
