Jaga’s Cocoon low surface temperature (LST) radiators were the ideal choice for builders of Westbury Fields, who refused to compromise on safety, aesthetics or performance when it came to specifying heating equipment.  Keyplan, familiar with Jaga’s expertise in safe heating from using Jaga products on past contracts, selected 1,200 Cocoon LST radiators for the Westbury project because they are the most efficient and cost effective solution, with the lowest running cost, in the UK LST radiator market.

The safety features of the Cocoon LST, which meets all current health and safety legislation, make it perfectly suited to retirement developments like Westbury, in addition to nursing homes, schools and nurseries.  The Cocoon LST also incorporates Jaga Low H2O technology, which enables quick response to temperature fluctuations to provide maximum comfort with minimum fuel consumption.  The outer casing temperature of the Cocoon LST radiator remains safe to touch, even at a high flow temperature, reducing the possibility of burns. In comparison, standard radiators can reach a surface temperature of 75 degrees, which can cause partial thickness burns in one second and full thickness burns in less than 10 seconds.

Further safety features of the Cocoon LST include the radiators’ soft rounded design, which reduce the possibility of injury from falls on to the units.  In addition, all valves and connections are safely incorporated inside the casing and the optional pencil-proof grille prevents fingers or objects from being inserted.
