Jaga’s Tempo LST radiator was recently selected by electrical and mechanical engineers, Dodd Group to provide safe, efficient and comfortable heating at a new retirement village in Milton Keynes. Lovat Fields is a £33.5million development providing local people over the age of 55 with affordable homes-for-life and independent living.
The complex includes 244 apartments, 14 bungalows, shops, and a range of leisure facilities. In total, 1400 of Jaga’s Tempo LST radiators have been used throughout the project, each with a high level valve kit supplied by German manufacturer, Oventrop. As the European market leader in safe and sustainable heating Jaga was an obvious choice for this new development. With its integrated Low-H20 technology, the Tempo is an effective and efficient heating solution, offering the lowest running costs in the UK LST market. The safety features of the Tempo LST, which meets all current health and safety legislation, make it perfectly suited to retirement developments like Lovat Fields, in addition to nursing homes, schools, and nurseries. With a reaction speed three times faster than a standard radiator, Jaga’s Low-H20 radiators respond to temperature fluctuations faster to provide maximum comfort yet minimum fuel consumption.
The outer casing temperature of the Tempo LST radiator remains cool to touch, even at high flow temperatures, reducing the possibility of burns. In comparison standard radiators can reach a surface temperature of 75 degrees, which can cause partial thickness burns in one second and full thickness burns in less than 10 seconds. Further safety features of the Tempo LST include softly profiled corners to reduce the possibility of injury from falls onto the units. In addition, all valves and connections are safely incorporated inside the casing and the optional pencil-proof grille prevents fingers or objects from being inserted.
