Bluebirds Nursing Home
To address the problem some elderly nursing home residents face of being unable to regulate their own body temperatures, the Bluebirds nursing home in Milton Keynes has installed Jaga’s newly launched intelligent Tempo Dynamic Boost Effect (DBE) radiator in each of its 55 bedrooms and a further eight DBE radiators in the home’s day rooms. Jaga’s Tempo DBE is able to help nursing home residents maintain their desired body temperature as the small but powerful DBE radiators are up to 9 times faster than traditional steel panel radiators in delivering desired room temperature levels.
DBE is managed automatically by an intelligent microprocessor comfort control unit which senses the ambient temperature, checks the availability of hot water in the heating element and boosts output as required. The comfort control unit can be pre-programmed with eight different profiles to suit the likely needs of the individual nursing home resident or alternatively a PC link facilitates custom configuration to particular comfort levels. Where some residents struggle to maintain body heat, a warmer room temperature of 24 – 25 degrees is programmed and where others find it hard to cool themselves a room temperature of 17 degrees can be delivered.
In addition to the Tempo DBE, DBE technology can be used with many of Jaga’s Low H2O and LST heating solutions, including the sleek Strada DBE, the Knockonwood DBE, Built-in DBE units, and Canal Compact DBE perimeter heating.
