The historic Derby Council House has recently undergone a £32 million redevelopment to create an energy-efficient, city centre headquarters for Derby City Council.
Designed by architects Corstophine and Wright, the redeveloped building still retains its original façade designed by Charles Aslin in 1939, and sets an example as to how historic buildings can be redeveloped to fit with today’s modern requirements.
With environmental considerations at the forefront of the refurbishment, the Council House is designed to BREEAM ‘Excellent’ standards and has achieved an ‘A +’ rated Energy Performance Certificate.
As part of the development’s energy-efficiency strategy, Jaga supplied and installed a portfolio of energy-efficient heating solutions including the Mini Canal, Aplano Plus, Mini Freestanding and Strada radiators.
